Fresh 48 Hours

What is a Fresh 48 Hours Session?

Fresh 48 Photography is a special session for those new families who want the first few hours of their newborn’s life captured without having the entire labour or birth documented, held within the first 24-48 hours of your baby’s life, these lifestyle sessions are perfect for remembering that first day forever. Shots of your little one’s first yawns, cute little baby feet, fingers, belly button will be documented. First feedings, nappy changes, all of those amazing family meetings. Also, I will capture those quiet moments between you and your new little one. I will come to your place of birth within 48 hours. This is not a traditional newborn session; I will not pose the baby or bring props or lights. This will just be me capturing your baby’s sweet new moments in a fresh natural way!

Heirloom Album

GOODNESS this is gorgeous. There is nothing quite like a photo in print. In an album. This is a classic 10 x 10 album.

One of my favourite things about being a photographer is at the very end when I get to share the finished product with my clients. I love seeing the look on their faces when they touch, feel and enjoy looking at the tangible memories in their very own album, looking through it right within their hands. It’s one of the most satisfying feelings. Knowing they get to cherish their images for a lifetime.

The Importance of Photographer-Child Interaction Time to Warm up Before the Session

I just wanted to take a minute to talk about the importance of the pre-session warm up. What is this, you might ask? This is the photographer-child interaction time that occurs before we begin the session. I always suggest that you show up a little bit early, maybe 15 minutes, to your session so we have this time to get to know each other. Especially with young children, it’s going to be a little bit scary interacting with someone they’ve never met before. We want to ensure we can really show off your child’s personality, so we want him or her to be comfortable with us and with the environment.

A Day At The Beach

Jamie was a surprise to me. I know his mum Pan for years, we’ve been good friends and I see her every time I go to Thailand but I had no idea she had a baby until I saw her posts on my Facebook feed recently.

What Size Should My Wall Art Be?

It can be hard to visualise what size the art on your wall should be and have a hard time purchasing your first 16×20 family portrait. It sounds so big. Why? Because you might be used with portrait packages where the BIG picture was an 8×10. I was like that too.

Cuteness Overload

This little pumpkin is such a trouper! While driving on the way to her grandparents’ house, she was quiet as a church mouse at the back of the car. Well, she kind of fell asleep halfway there but during the entire session, she never made a fuss even if we changed her outfits so many times. We did have a few breaks in between to change her nappy and eat snacks.

How Family Portraits Boost Your Child’s Self Esteem

Raising confident, self-assured children is incredibly tough. Our children are inundated with media messages about how they should act, look, eat and wear. It is heartbreaking to think that our little ones self-worth can be influenced so much by a world of people they don’t even know. As parents, the best we can do is help fill our little ones with the love and self-confidence they need to feel secure enough to question all the influences out there and develop their own self-worth and strong minds.

Make Your Dreams Come Alive

Admit it. As soon as our babies are born, we think that they are the most beautiful & cutest little bundle of joy in the entire world. We may not say it out loud or think we’re having delusions of grandeur but trust me it’s perfectly normal. We have the best hopes and aspirations for them. We want them to be happy & successful. If you’re a bit ambitious, you’ve probably envisioned them becoming the next Picasso or you see them marrying a prince someday. Hello Meghan Markle and Queen Rania?
